Air Academy Ireland came from the business concept initially named Air Academy Finder (AAF) founded in 2014 in the Republic of Ireland. With a passion for aviation, the company founders had an idea to connect the world to Irish aviation training providers, who have a great reputation in the marketplace for safety and other key standards. As English language proficiency is in many cases a barrier to beginning a career in aviation, the company decided to assemble an experienced academic team and form AIR ACADEMY IRELAND, which is now the main Aviation English provider in the Republic of Ireland.

Aviation English Instructor
I am passionate about aviation and equally so about passing on my knowledge and experience to others.
I started my career in 1977 as an Airframe technician in the Royal Air Force (RAF), a few years later further training added Propulsion (engines), Electrical and Avionics systems to my skillset. After 23 happy years with the military, leaving with the rank of Chief Technician I joined an Airline as an Engineering Manager. I now had to juggle aircraft, spares, manpower, and budgets to keep the flying programme running.
I began teaching technical subjects to engineers in the early 1990s and having secured my TEFL certificate, I started teaching Aviation English in 2011. It gives me great satisfaction to see students understand the subject matter and enable them to have a successful career.
John is an A330 Captain with Aer Lingus where he operates long-haul routes.
He has been flying for over thirty years and with over 13.000 hours flying experience, he has flown Piper Tomahawk Seminole; Cessna – 310; Boeing 737-200/300/400/500; Boeing 747 – 100/200; BAe -146; Airbus A320/321 and Airbus A330 -200 and 300.
John is Principal and Director of Charter Aero Medical and owner of Universal Healthcare Partners LTD – Irish owned companies providing medical services to the aviation industry throughout Europe.

Focused on Business, Silas has over 15 years of experience in international marketing, leadership, and business management. After experiencing a career in Civil Aviation and the Education sector in Brazil and Ireland, he developed marketing, Customer Service, and sales skills. In the last few years he has been involved in various projects and activities in different organizations, always target-driven and delivering results beyond expectations.
Currently in an undergraduate degree program in Journalism, Nicoly is passionate about communication and is very committed to anything involving projects and creativity inside and outside aviation. She chose to be part of the team for her ambitions to expand her knowledge in different areas and use her skills to keep people all around the world connected to the best of aviation in Europe.

Graduated in Business communication management and Advertising at the Brazilian University Anhembi Morumbi and post-graduated in Integrated Communication Management by SENAC. Worked as Creative Director at the Wolf Maya Acting School where he signed the graphic art of over 180 plays and 40 film productions with multiple directors of the Brazilian Cultural Scope. In Ireland, he has been working with expressive brands delivering strong marketing strategies in several sectors.
